BEGINNINGS
Eskimo Joe (consisting of Kav, Joel and Stu) much like any band seemed to form originally due to pure chance. Young music goers Kav and Joel were most interested in the band scene, each being a member of seperate identities. After a small gig Kav was able to meet up with the members of a small band called Carpet, Joel being a member. Along with two brothers the four men created the band Freuds Pillows with a new style to that of Carpet thanks to Kav's songs and input.
After playing to little success they became unsatisfied and Kav decided to write a whole new set of songs and partnered up with his oldest and dearest friend Stu. One of the songs written went onto the EP of Freuds Pillows.
After a trip overseas for several months Kav finally realised that the songs designed by he and Stu were far deeper than originally thought and with a new perspective on music shared by all three guys Kav on bass, Stu on guitar and Joel on drums entered a Campus Band Competition. After winning this nationally Freuds Pillows was disintegrated and the wonders of Eskimo Joe we know and love today was born.
Now with nationally held acclaim, numerous awards and nominations and an adoring fanbase Eskimo Joe has become a forerunner in the Indie scene of Australia and hopefully one day, the world.
